Keeping Older Systems Operational

Modern shipping relies heavily on electronics, but manufacturers often declare systems "obsolete" after just 10 years. At Welcome Marine, we are the lifeline for vessels running older but perfectly functional equipment. We salvage and test electronics from vessels being recycled, providing a critical source of spare parts that are no longer available from the OEM.

Our climate-controlled electronics lab in Bhavnagar is staffed by former radio officers and electronics engineers. We don't just sell "as is." We power up radars, test gyro compasses on a swing table, and verify PCB functionality using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

What We Stock

  • 1. Radar Systems: Complete X-Band and S-Band radars, as well as individual components like Magnetrons, TR Cells, Modulator PCBs, and Scanner Motors.
  • 2. Gyro Compasses: Sensitive elements (spheres) are stored in proper fluid. We stock master compasses, repeaters, and inverter units for Sperry MK-37, Yokogawa CMZ, and Tokyo Keiki.
  • 3. GMDSS & Comm: VHF/MF/HF radios, Inmarsat-C terminals, and Navtex receivers. All units are tested for transmission and reception.
  • 4. Automation PCBs: Critical cards for Main Engine control (Nabco, Lyngso), Alarm Monitoring Systems, and Boiler automation.
  • 5. Displays & LCDs: Replacement screens for ECDIS, Radar, and AMS consoles. We also retrofit older CRT monitors with modern LCD kits.

Technical questions about our bridge equipment.

Yes. All tested PCBs come with a 30-day DOA (Dead on Arrival) warranty. If the board doesn't work when installed, we will replace it or refund your money.
For most equipment, we reset the MMSI to factory default or zero before shipping. You will need to program your vessel's MMSI upon installation. We can provide instructions for common models.
We use anti-static bags for all PCBs. Gyro spheres are shipped in their original fluid-filled containers or specialized shock-proof boxes. We use DHL/FedEx for rapid air delivery worldwide.
