Complete Heat Transfer Solutions

Heat exchangers are vital for maintaining optimal operating temperatures for main engines, auxiliary systems, and cargo heating. Over time, fouling and corrosion can drastically reduce efficiency. Welcome Marine provides a cost-effective alternative to new units by offering fully reconditioned heat exchangers and cooler stacks.

We specialize in Plate Heat Exchangers (PHE) and Shell & Tube coolers. Our inventory includes thousands of titanium and stainless steel plates sourced from Alang, which are rigorously inspected and re-gasketed to extend their service life.

Our Refurbishment Process

  • 1. Chemical Cleaning: Plates and tube bundles are submerged in agitated chemical baths to remove scale, oil, and marine growth without damaging the metal substrate.
  • 2. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): We use UV dye penetrant testing on plates to detect micro-cracks and pinholes that could cause cross-contamination.
  • 3. Re-Gasketing: Old gaskets are removed, grooves are cleaned, and new OEM-spec gaskets (NBR, EPDM, or Viton) are bonded using industrial adhesives.
  • 4. Pressure Testing: Assembled units undergo hydrostatic pressure testing to ensure leak-free operation under load.

Technical support for your cooling systems.

We use a dye penetrant test. The plates are cleaned, sprayed with a penetrant dye, and then inspected under UV light. Any pinholes or cracks will fluoresce, revealing defects that are invisible to the naked eye.
Yes, we have a vast network of suppliers and stock for older Alfa Laval, GEA, and APV models. We can supply NBR, EPDM, and Viton gaskets for most marine heat exchangers.
We sell both. We can supply complete reconditioned frames with new plate packs, or individual spare plates and gaskets to refurbish your existing unit.
